The world’s largest chemical company, Baden Aniline and Soda Factory (BASF) recently made use of siFramo as permanent fixtures in a new acetylene plant. Located at BASF headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany, the plant covers an area of 55 000 m² and reaches a height of 95 metres. The siFramo support system was the preferred choice for this plant due to its multi-functionality, efficient installation and the advantage of making modifications instantly on site.
The use of siFramo for secondary pipe supports eliminated the need for dangerous welding in fire and explosion hazard areas.
Installation for standard fabricated steel supports which are welded together are time consuming when compared to siFramo’s single screw technology. It was introduced to the industry by the German group Sikla over 15 years ago and it has built a trustworthy reputation with clients worldwide. Another noteworthy project took place at the Borealis plant in Schwechat, Austria’s largest plastics manufacturer.
